Seems to be the asking range of $ for that vintage in the current printed NW version of Bike Trader. Amazing, but only the buyer and seller really know what they sell for in the end. I paid that much for my yellow 96 in Fall of 98 w/o any accessories and had to fix the carb problem. End of season in Anchorage AK, new ones were 4200 then, dealer had left over red 97 or 98 he wanted 3900 for in March when my sister in law bought her new 2000 model. Maybe they will hold their value like the v-twin made in USA ones.
